I had been pestered for a while to come to a T3 training session by a friend of mine who had attended since day one with Danny Thomas in Crow Nest Park. Having been going to the gym lifting weights and doing bits of cardio since March last year I decided in the December to give it a go.
I was a little nervous as I was always told how hard the sessions were and had never done any training in classes before. On the other hand I was also told that you only do what you can and no one is comparing each other. I attended an evening session ran by Mark Barlow and from then on I immediately got the bug for it.
It was surprising how enjoyable it was as well as hard work and I knew from then on I was going to get much more out of attending these classes than doing what I had been doing at the gym. There is a good mix of all abilities at the class and I had heard this mentioned numerous times previously but this is really true. No one person is compared to the next and everyone is given the same encouragement throughout.
At the start of 2017 I decided this was the time to really go for it and commit to a change in lifestyle and some serious training. I cancelled the expensive gym membership, joined T3 for half the price and I have made great progress over the last 6 weeks with the support of the team at T3. – Richard Lawley
